SPARK Journal: Sketchbook /Process /Archive for Reflective Knowledge
The SPARK Journal was my personal space to explore, record, and reflect on my creative journey
throughout this course. It is a combination sketchbook, process log, and visual diary where ideas can
emerge, evolve, and take shape. I used it to document observations, generate and iterate ideas, track
my progress, and develop my design thinking strategies.
• Sketchbook – a place for daily visual thinking and creative play
• Process – tracking ideation, iterations, feedback, and growth
• Archive – a cumulative record of ideas, experiments, and influences
• Reflective – encouraging self-awareness and metacognition
• Knowledge – building a foundation of personal creative strategies

Project 2 - Reframe - Design Thinking and Creative Strategies
In this assignment, we were asked to solve a common problem that exists in our lives. We used various strategies to arrive at new ideas - using design thinking and other creative
hacks to push our problem-solving abilities. The final presentation of our ideas was
presented as a product pitch to the class.

Project 3: Systems in Motion: Visualizing Complex Problems
In this project, I explored how complex systems can be translated into clear, compelling visual narratives.
Each team of two was assigned a hypothetical product or service and tasked with developing an
innovative method for delivering, explaining, and pitching it. The focus is not just on the idea itself, but on
how effectively the system behind the idea is visualized, structured, and communicated

Project 4: Prototype to Playtest: Designing a Contemporary Board Game
In this collaborative studio project, student teams responded to a hypothetical open call from Parker
Brothers seeking new board games designed specifically for college-age audiences. Each team will
conceive, design, prototype, and present a fully playable board game that balances concept, mechanics,
visual identity, and user experience. All fabrication leveraged SCAD’s digital lab facilities, integrating
digital design with hands-on making

Project 5 Anthropocene Opera: Wearable Sculpture & Living Costume
This is a fictional immersive performance staged at the intersection of ancient myth and ecological crisis.
a world where gods, monsters, tricksters, and heroes have survived into the present moment,
transformed by the forces of the Anthropocene. My task was to select a figure from world mythology-
from any culture, any tradition, and reimagine that character as they exist today. Who are they now? What
has the world done to them? What do they carry? What do they mourn, resist, celebrate, or embody?
